I have been expressing myself through art most of my life, but it has only been in this last decade that I decided to allow my passion to be my priority. It has been a good decision.
I spent a number of years focused on painting with pastels, which I adore, but have developed some sensitivities to the fine particles. I then switched to working with acrylics. I am delighted! It is a medium with endless possibility.
My inner Muse is fickle and likes to vary subject matter. I've tried to contain 'her' by switching between landscapes, figures, still life and abstract/whimsical. I find that this keeps me fresh in my approach. The elements of composition, rhythm and color are most central to me as I work. It is my great pleasure when a viewer resonates with the mood or suggested narrative of one of my paintings.
