Marti Lyttle's Artist Statement
I am inspired to paint by a variety of everyday encounters with Nature's bountiful beauty, my relationships and by the ever changing events of my world. I am often surprised by what my Muse will 'latch' onto as inspiration and yet I'm intrigued enough to try to execute and capture it in a painting. Composition, color, and patterns are of primary concern to me.
I love it when the viewer resonates with with my intent, and delighted when they are drawn into the painting with their own meaning.
